What is CBD?

CBD stands for Cannabidiol (Canna-bid-iol) and is one of over 100 compounds found in the hemp plant or cannabis sativa 1.

CBD is a 100% naturally-occurring chemical compound that comes straight from the cannabis plant and not synthetically made.

Marijuana and hemp are two different varieties of cannabis that come from the same species of plant (Cannabis sativa L).

In general, CBD is found abundantly in both.

The hemp plant is a different strain of cannabis that contains high quantities of CBD throughout (stem, buds, etc), and practically no traces of THC.

Most all CBD-based products come from the industrial hemp plant.

There is widespread research on-line that can explain the benefits of CBD.

we cannot and do not claim any medicinal benefits from CBD,

there are many studies that have and are being carried out into the potential applications of CBD in medicine.

We suggest  you to research as much as possible its capabilities.

A common misconception is that as CBD comes from cannabis so it will get you high. which is totally untrue.

CBD is not psychoactive, which means it doesn’t affect the way that you think. The compound that makes you high is...

THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol ), which is still classified as a Class B drug in the UK, making it illegal.

CBD, on the other hand, is perfectly legal.

CBD is found primarily in extractions from the hemp plant.

It’s sold in gels, gummies, balms, vape, oils, supplements, extracts, and more.

How to Use CBD oil

before even purchasing any product

always to do some research on the company behind the product.

  • High in CBD and low in THC (must be less than 0.2%)
  • Rich full spectrum or broad spectrum profiles
  • State of the art extraction and purification processes
  • Complete removal of naturally occurring trace amounts of THC

What type of CBD is being used

When shopping for CBD products, consumers are faced with the choice between products that contain “Full Spectrum CBD,” “Broad Spectrum CBD,” or “CBD Isolate.”

Understanding the difference between the three, and which type is used in a CBD product, is extremely important to know.

    CBD Isolate

is pure CBD extracted from the hemp plant, and then isolated from the other cannabinoids that were present, this results in a 99% cbd pure product

    Full Spectrum CBD

is CBD that was extracted from the hemp plant along with all the

other cannabinoids that where present, which in many

experts opinion is the best product to use.

    Broad Spectrum CBD

is a bit of a mix between both CBD isolate and Full Spectrum CBD.

Essentially, Broad Spectrum CBD is Full Spectrum CBD, without the THC.

THINGS TO LOOK FOR IN A PRODUCT

    • product should specify clearly the amount of CBD contained.
    • company's have  lab reports and certificates of analysis
    • CBD products should be lab tested for consistency and free of mold, bacteria, pesticides, solvent residues, and other contaminants.
    • avoid products extracted with toxic solvents like BHO, propane, hexane or any other hydrocarbons.
    • Choose products that use safer extraction methods such as supercritical CO2 or food-grade ethanol.
    • Supercritical CO2  is known to be the best form of extraction as it separates THC and other volatile cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant.           (This Extraction method uses pressurized carbon dioxide (CO2) to extract CBD from the plant, then compresses it into a supercritical cold liquid state, while preserving the nutrient rich terpenes and trichomes.)
    • That the oil full spectrum
    • (rich in terpenes and other cannabinoids.)
    • The more natural the product, the better.

If this is the first time you are trying out CBD

it would be better to start with low dosage  twice a day.

After a week or so you can increase this to a slightly higher dose, twice a day and see how this makes you feel.

as everyone is different and respond differently and not forgetting different brands have different strengths.

CBD has no known adverse side effects, but an excessive amount of CBD could be less effective therapeutically than a moderate dose. “Less is more” is often the case with respect to CBD

we do not recommend people take more than 200mg in a day

How quickly is CBD absorbed and how long does it take to feel the effects?

People use CBD in many different ways, from oil drops taken sublingually, capsules, vaping, edibles, topicals in creams and balms.

Research has shown that vaping CBD offers the fastest means of CBD delivery to the body.

It enters the bloodstream directly through the lungs and the majority of people cbd is absorbed within minutes.

Another way to feel the effects quickly is by taking CBD sublingually, under the tongue, with CBD oil drops.

This is absorbed by the mucous membranes and then directly into the bloodstream.

another method is through edibles, beverages and is  absorbed through the digestive system which takes a lot longer

    CBD and the Endocannabinoid System.

    What is CBD?

A naturally occurring compound and one of the most prominent chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant. It is one of over 100 cannabinoids found in full spectrum hemp plant.

After many years of research, scientists are just beginning to understand the importance of the Human Endocannabinoid Systems (HEcS).

Scientists have discovered that the  HEcS is responsible for maintaining and controlling the body’s homeostasis through two receptors: CB1 and CB2.

    • Endocannabinoids: Endogenous-fatty-acid cannabinoids are produced naturally in the body
    • Phytocannabinoids: is the concentrated in the oily resin of the buds and leaves of plants.
    • The discovery of the Endocannabinoid systemin the 1990'sresearchers have learned more and more about the synergistic relationship between phytocannabinoids and endocannabinoids.
    • scientists say that ...
    • we are not claiming any medical benefits from using cbd and would never do so. We are just providing a little information that researcher's have found and learnt so far with regards to cbd and the Endocannabinoid System.
